General Dentistry
Winston Churchill Dental offers all aspects of general dentistry care, from fillings to crowns. Our skilled professionals want to help you preserve your smile and your dental health. If you are experiencing any tooth pain or discomfort, you may need one of the general dentistry procedures listed below.
Fillings
Made of a mixture of plastic and acrylic materials, composite restorations have a natural tooth-like appearance and can be used on all teeth. Composite fillings bond directly to the tooth structure, reducing the risk of leakage. The aesthetically pleasing tooth is restored to its original function.
Crowns
Also referred to as a cap, a crown is a full-coverage restoration permanently cemented to the affected tooth structure. It restores the anatomical surfaces of a damaged or contoured tooth to their original contour and function.
Bridges
Restore your smile by bridging the gap between missing teeth with a dental prosthesis, also known as a bridge. Used to replace one or more missing teeth in the same arch. It restores cosmetics, provides solid support to the structure of the jaw and prevents adjacent teeth from shifting.
Inlay/Onlay
These natural-looking alternatives to silver fillings are usually made from porcelain. Inlays and onlays are used to fill most types of cavities and are almost impossible to distinguish from natural teeth.
Root Canal
When a tooth becomes infected or badly decayed, one way to save it is by performing a root canal. This procedure involves removing the pulp, or nerve, of the affected tooth and then replacing it with a rubber insert. A crown is then placed on the tooth to give it strength.
